| I dedicated The Talmudist to people well-versed in the Talmud. My father loved sharing his Talmudic knowledge with me and often spoke about the sources of Jewish law. When I began working on this painting, I realized how much I missed him. I believe that had I paid more attention to his interpretations of the Talmudic text, I would be better off today. |
