The Man and Mouse. Painting of Israel Tsvaygenbaum

The Man and Mouse
30 X 40
Oil on Canvas. 1997
The painting The Man and Mouse is about a violinist who plays about our life; what might happen to us if we lose our values. In the tree, we see a Torah scroll with a mouse on it. The mouse symbolizes the tragedies that people have had and what people may have in the future if the Torah is in the tree instead of next to our heart. The clock on the painting is another symbol that reminds us how close we could be to tragedy if we keep our values far away from us.
